And he lived another day

Life take turns
people come and go
situations good or bad
but you shall always move on....

It's been a while since life took an unexpected turn. Everything was in order. He had a good looking cute nice sensible(yes, they do exist) girlfriend (who was actually a childhood crush turned love interest). He was scoring well at graduation school, semester by semester, year by year. Life seemed to be normal yet so perfect. Believing in it was becoming a usual routine.

But they say, it ain't better till it's complicated a little. Well, they were right, it did happen!!

Against the run of play, he started drinking, smoking, getting high on alcohol at the drop of hat, smoking unnecessarily even at the slight different situation away from normal routine. He started arguing with his girlfriend, someone who he loved beyond definition, someone who was always dear to him and someone, for whom he saved his misery pocket allowances for long, just to book himself a flight ticket and meet her in the other city she shifted to. Everything was falling apart. Looked like god has started with his "struggle for survival" period now.

And then, she left him. a 12 year saga went off in a flash. THEY BROKE UP!

He was distressed, down and out, graduation was complete and he was sitting at home waiting for his joining letter to come (yes, another engineer was placed at campus, lucky chap, eh?) He started over thinking, over reacting at situations, getting drowned in the dark world of alcohol and tobacco. A happy life was just turning its head on him.

He thrived to live, but kept mum all day, cried his heart out all night. it was turning out to be a perfect story for a 80's sad romantic reel story where a blue eyed young man has lost his love interest and play some musical instrument with a trademark 'dhun' all day long and dance with truck drivers at the night, totally engulfed in alcohol and smoke.

Things were going to take turn. He expected god to be kind to him.

Well, the almighty never disappoints, does he?

Out of nowhere comes an offer for this young man, to do something he used to love and live for.

"Sir,
This is to request you to kindly offer your guidance and services for xyz event and help us make this a successful venture. Your arrival on board will be a huge bonus for us. We request you to take the post of the Head of the Organizing Committee and be on board for the entire duration of the event."

Things will shape up well, and I'll live another day, he said to himself.
